Port Sydney is located in the Muskoka Region south of Huntsville and is known to tourists in the summer for its beautiful Muskoka Scenery.
Woodridge Riding Centre in Port Sydney hosted the Trillium Hunter/Jumper Show where over 90 horses were showcased all the way from Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury, Orillia and other surrounding areas.

English Schooling Horse Show #3 Powassan

Powassan is located in the Almaguin Highlands north of Muskoka, west of Parrysound and south of North Bay. Almaaguin Highlands is known for amazing beaches, cottage resorts, bed and breakfast, motels and cottage rentals.
At the beginning of May go to Powassan for the annual English Schooling Show #3 hosted by Knowlton Ridge Equestrian Centre. This annual events brings out lots of visitors with free admission and there is also refreshments available.

Inaugural Huntsville Western Rodeo Royale

Over 250 rodeo competitors as far away as the United States and Brazil will be in Huntsville, Muskoka around the end of July. This event takes place at the Huntsville Fairgrounds towards the end of the month featuring bareback bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, tie down roping, team roping, steer wrestling, barrel racing, breakaway roping, junior barrel racing and junior bull riding.
There will be food vendors, demonstrations by the Canadian Cow Girls drill team, clown, bullfighters and Saturday night dance. Tickets for the Huntsville Western Rodeo is $16 for adults, $8 for children under 10 and free for infants. Parking will be $2 on the grounds. A portion of the money goes to local charities.

Forrestview Farms Cowboy Rodeo and Fun Day

On the first weekend in May come to the Almaguin Highlands near Muskoka and Algonquin Park and stay at a cottage resort. Spend your weekend enjoying the Forrestview Farm Cowboy Rodeo and Fun Day. Located at 126 Leggett's Road in Katrine, Ontario.

Cowboys and Cowgirls wanted and the entry booth opens at 10am. Spectator day pass is $4.00 and Day pass and pig roast is $10/adult and $7.50/child.

All Cowboys / competitors get in free and the cost for the cowboys pig roast is $6/adult and $4/child.

Division Champions will receive belt buckles. Events start at 11am with Stick Horse Barrel Race, Dummy Calf Roping, Muttin Bustin, Mechanical Bull Riding 3 Divisions and Chicken Run.

The Events on horseback include Lead Line Barrel Race, Lead Line Tie a Ribbon on a Goat, Lead Line Dummy Calf Roping and Int. Riders, Youth Barrels, Youth Goat Tie and Dummy Calf Roping. Seniors and Adults over 18 enjoy Barrel Race, Goat Tie and Dummy Calf Roping.

Pig Roast and Award Ceremony is at 6pm.

At the Strong Agricultural Grounds adjacent to Sundridge Arena get out and enjoy the Annual Almaguin Horse Show. Free show and free parking at the south end of Sundridge off Highway 11.

Enjoy Open Barrel Race and Open Western Pleasure.

Registration begins at 8am and closes at 2pm.

The show is hosted by Milne Quarter Horses at the Sundridge Fairgrounds in the Almaguin Highlands at the end of July.

Trillium Spring Show at Knowlton Ridge Equestrian Centre Powassan

The Trillium Show in Powassan draws about 80 riders from across the northeastern region in Ontario. Riders compete at the A Level and then on to the nationals.

This show is held in the spring and fall of every year. The top riders from this show goes on to Toronto to compete and then the nationals. The Ontario finals are held in Orangeville in September.

Knowlton Ridge has its outdoor show ring designed to meet the provincial hunter and jumper show requirements in order to be approved for hosting Trillium events. In the near future Gord Cardwell owner of Knowlton Ridge in the Almaguin Highlands is hoping to host A Level shows also at the same location.
